Purple People

There were 36 people that lived on a large plot of land down Hollow lane.
They never had a visitor and no one ever left.
Then one of the 36 decided to walk to the edge.
When she arrived to the end of their land she saw a giant fence and wondered what was on the other side.
She decided to get an ax and make a hole in the fence so she could explore more.
She returned the next day against her family’s advice but she had an itch to know more.
She chopped a hole in the giant fence and crawled through to the other side.
She saw a great big city off in the distance and could not believe her eyes.
She thought that there were only 35 others but now she saw they weren’t alone.
She walked towards the city.
As she got closer she noticed people, however they were not purple like her.
She walked closer, and approached a gentleman.
“Excuse me sir?” she asked politely.
The gentleman looked shocked “Why are you here, I’m calling security.”
“Security,” she asked “What is security?”
“Security is there to protect us from people like you.” He responded with hatred and anger.
This made the young explorer very sad, “I’m sorry to bother you, I’ll be on my way.”
She started walking down the street, and the gentleman yelled “They will find you.”
Within minutes a purple machine on wheels with flashing lights and a loud blasting sound pulled up beside her.
Two men dressed in purple jumped out, grabbed and chained her and threw her in the back.
She tried to talk with the two men from behind the cage but they did not respond.
She was then taken to a large building where they took away her clothes and flashed her with a light.
“Where are the Purple People?” She cried now having seen many different colors of people.
She felt horrible and humiliated without her clothes and with no one responding to her.
She was then taken to a small concrete room where they took off the chains and closed and locked the door.
She pounded and pounded on the door crying “I want to go home, I want to go home.”
There was no response just a piece of bread slipped through a slot in the door.
No one ever saw the young explorer after that day, and she never saw the light of day again.
There are 35 people that live on a large plot of land down Hallow lane.
