Cruising with Grandpa

As I sail through the water, and feel the wind on my face;
I just can’t get enough of your warm embrace.

As I walk through the ship and then see you there;
I just want to run to you and talk and share.

As I sit by the pool and bask in the sun;
I wonder where you are, but know you are having fun.

As I sit down for dinner with the family so near;
I say a prayer of thanksgiving and cry a happy tear.

As I walk to the centrum under all of the lights;
I feel happy that your there, and I am under your sight.

As I go to embark on a magnificent excursion;
I think to myself, this is great, but not as good as your version.

As I sit next to you at the spectacular show, and am so alive;
I feel so grateful and think, wow this is all I have to derive.

As I will always love you, and you are always here;
I just want you to know how thankful for your blessings I am and you always being near.

 Owl always be there through the grace and the fear;
Owl always understand even if I am not presently near.

Owl always hold you close and keep you next to me;
Owl always stay strong and make sure you are free.

Owl always make sure to brighten the world;
Owl always love the hurting and the curled.

Owl always remain full of joy and love;
Owl always enjoy the art and stay close to the dove.

Owl always inspire and never let the lights go out;
Owl always reassure you and give you no doubt.

Owl always be there through the grace and the fear;
Owl always understand even if I am not presently near.

I Like To Go

I like to go eating dinner with the wise owl in the hollow, and be high up in the in the tree.

I like to go swimming with the fast dolphin in the river, jumping by the boats.

I like to go dancing with the green alligator by the swamp, enjoying the music.

I like to go fishing with the hungry wolf at the lake, and then cook them.

I like to go racing with the wobbly duck on the track, and see who can win.

I like to go golfing with the large moose at the course, and score par.

I like to go singing with the loud cricket at the theater, in front of a large audience.

I like to go picking apples with the tall giraffe at the orchid, and sell them on the street.

I like to go shopping with the beautiful butterfly at the mall, and buy new clothes.

I like to go wrestling with the fuzzy bear in the cave, and pin him down.

I like to go reading with the slow turtle at the library, and take it all in.

I like to go bowling with the magnificent lion at the alley, and knock down 10 pins.

I like to go riding bicycles with the strong buffalo down the hill, and ring my bell.

I like to go sailing with the soft sheep in the ocean, and catch a good gust of wind.

I like to go sleeping with my loving puppy in the bed, and make this all come true with a dream.

Walk Through Savannah Georgia

Oh darling historic Savannah, I walk down your red brick heart daily.
I start at your community play ground with a cup of joe at the Forsyth Café.
I walk through your five most ornate squares which commemorate your past.
I walk pass the buildings so old and detailed carrying stories of the past and present.
Your history surrounds me, bustling with people and activity always.
I get to your cobblestone street and gaze across the river.
The cargo ships pass carrying masses of goods in and out the life blood of our country.
I stop at your shops so quaint and cute, unique as your essence.
I hear your church bells on the hour and love your music.
I see your trolleys pass, filled with tourist eager for your stories.
I walk up your steep stairs, once a place of dark commerce.
I enjoy your oak canopies and the friendly birds singing and dancing along.
So many of the people I meet are filled with charm and southern hospitality.
You truly hold a special light darling Savannah, a truly bright light that fills me with joy.

Purple People

There were 36 people that lived on a large plot of land down Hollow lane.
They never had a visitor and no one ever left.
Then one of the 36 decided to walk to the edge.
When she arrived to the end of their land she saw a giant fence and wondered what was on the other side.
She decided to get an ax and make a hole in the fence so she could explore more.
She returned the next day against her family’s advice but she had an itch to know more.
She chopped a hole in the giant fence and crawled through to the other side.
She saw a great big city off in the distance and could not believe her eyes.
She thought that there were only 35 others but now she saw they weren’t alone.
She walked towards the city.
As she got closer she noticed people, however they were not purple like her.
She walked closer, and approached a gentleman.
“Excuse me sir?” she asked politely.
The gentleman looked shocked “Why are you here, I’m calling security.”
“Security,” she asked “What is security?”
“Security is there to protect us from people like you.” He responded with hatred and anger.
This made the young explorer very sad, “I’m sorry to bother you, I’ll be on my way.”
She started walking down the street, and the gentleman yelled “They will find you.”
Within minutes a purple machine on wheels with flashing lights and a loud blasting sound pulled up beside her.
Two men dressed in purple jumped out, grabbed and chained her and threw her in the back.
She tried to talk with the two men from behind the cage but they did not respond.
She was then taken to a large building where they took away her clothes and flashed her with a light.
“Where are the Purple People?” She cried now having seen many different colors of people.
She felt horrible and humiliated without her clothes and with no one responding to her.
She was then taken to a small concrete room where they took off the chains and closed and locked the door.
She pounded and pounded on the door crying “I want to go home, I want to go home.”
There was no response just a piece of bread slipped through a slot in the door.
No one ever saw the young explorer after that day, and she never saw the light of day again.
There are 35 people that live on a large plot of land down Hallow lane.
